We are proud to announce that Peter J. Famighetti and Matthew Weinick, partners at the Long Island employment law firm, Famighetti & Weinick PLLC, have been selected for inclusion by Super Lawyers New York Metro magazine. This exclusive list is reserved for no more than five percent of the attorneys in New York State.
According to Super Lawyers, the list is “research driven” and peer influenced. It is a rating service of lawyers who, according to Super Lawyers, have “attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement.” Super Lawyers uses a patented multi-part evaluation process to select lawyers for inclusion on its list. The process includes:
- Peer nominations
- Independent research
- Evaluation by a panel of attorneys
Selection to the list means Famighetti and Weinick will be prominently featured in print publications and online. The New York Metro Super Lawyers magazine is published in October 2019 and is distributed to more than 106,000 attorneys. Additionally, the Super Lawyers supplement will be distributed in the October 20, 2019 edition of the New York Times, expected to reach more than 1,100,000 readers.
2019 marks the sixth year in a row that Famighetti has been selected for the Super Lawyers list. On his selection, Famighetti noted, “I never ask for anything more than a happy client, but I’m proud that Super Lawyers recognizes the dedication I give to my clients’ cases.” Famighetti was selected to the Employment Litigation practice area.
From 2012 to 2018, Weinick was selected to the Super Lawyers Rising Star list. The Rising Star list is reserved for attorneys under the age of 40 or who have been practicing law for less than 10 years. 2019 is the first year Weinick was selected to the Super Lawyers list. On his inclusion, Weinick stated, “This honor symbolizes our firm’s values of providing the highest level of legal services to New York’s mistreated and exploited workers.” Weinick will be published in his primary practice area of Plaintiff’s employment litigation.
